Since ComAV's foundation, the logo has changed a few times. Here is a short and nice overview.
At the foundation a "computer nerd" was asked to design a logo. Who this nerd was, is not known anymore, but he/she was clearly inspired by the idea "archipelago". The logo has only been used once, if we can go by the newsletters.
In 2006, a logo that lasted for a while appears in the newsletters, which is a typographic design. The designer is Jan Geloen. He also designed the previous versions of the website.
After the installation of a new board of directors around 2015, Michiel De Malsche believes it is time to design something new. Michiel is known to do quite a bit of drawing and is good at it too. With some good will, the old logo can be recognised in his design. The technique: oil pastel on paper. This logo is still used (2020), sometimes with background, sometimes cut out.
When designing the new website in 2020, graphic designer Bart Rylant also designed a restyling for the logo as a bonus. This is present in each page in a modest way. The idea was to give the logo a variable shape. Especially on a screen, this is possible.
